#HappyRainbow-vi# I love where they are going with Jason, but I don't like Courtney at all. The mess they are making with Jacks, Courtney, Emily, Liz is awful. I'm so glad I tape the show and I can just fast forward through those sceens.
I'm loving One Life to Live these days and it doesn't get talked about alot. I'm happy that David has more of a family now and maybe they will tell more of his history. Love the Jess, Tess story also. I just love Todd!
All My Children is good also, was hoping Di was really Dixie, and disapointed when she turned out to be Dixie and Dell sister. I need someone to tell me more about Dell, Julia, Kendall in the old days. I wasn't watching then. I noticed that Julia really dislikes Kendall and I love Kendall and Greenly.

Opal Gardner (Jill Larson) Purdy set her sights on Palmer Cortlandt, and, with the help of Palmer's ex-wife, Daisy (Gillian Spencer), she convinced him to marry her. As usual, Palmer was set on breaking up the relationship between his niece Dixie (Cady McClain) and the love of her life, Tad Martin (Michael E. Knight), even though Tad was Palmer's new wife's son. Tad decided that he had had enough, and told Dixie that they should move out of Pine Valley in order to get away from her uncle. Dixie refused, and it caused the breach that Palmer had hoped for. Tad turned to Brooke English (Julia Barr). Dixie found a new "friend" in Billy Clyde Tuggle (Matthew Cowles), but Billy Clyde became obsessed with Dixie and tried to rape her. Tad succeeded in saving her from Billy Clyde, but he and Billy Clyde fought on a bridge, and the two fell off. Billy Clyde's body washed up on shore, but Tad was not found. A final scene showed an amnesiac Tad hitching a ride out of town.
After a long period of grief, Dixie turned to handsome newcomer Craig Lawson (Scott Thompson Baker), who claimed to have been a friend of Tad's. In actuality, he was a con man who had read about Tad's death in a California newspaper, and he had come to town to woo the wealthy widow. But Craig was followed by his ex-girlfriend, Gloria Marsh (Teresa Blake), who threatened to reveal the truth about Craig unless he would continue to sleep with her. In the meantime, Brooke had given birth to Tad's son, Jamie (who would be played in 1995 by Sean Marquette).
Trevor's troubled niece Hayley Vaughan (Kelly Ripa) came into town, having run away from her mother after her father's death. When Hayley's mother, Arlene (Phyllis Lyons, then Olivia Birkelund) came after her, Arlene was shocked to discover that she knew Adam Chandler. In fact, Adam was Hayley's real father. In the meantime, Hayley the troublemaker met straight-arrow Brian Bodine (Gregory Gordon, Matt Borlenghi and Brian Lane Green), and they fell in love. Later, Brian found himself attracted to Dixie, and the two became lovers. Hayley, dejected, found solace with Charlie Brent (Christopher Lawford), son of Tara Martin. At first their relationship moved very slowly, as he was much older and didn't want to take advantage of her. Hayley, on the other hand, quickly stopped whining about being "the oldest living virgin" and saw Charlie for who he really was: someone who loved her. Eventually, Charlie and Hayley moved to the next level and had sex. As they became a true couple and their relationship moved faster, the two started a Private Investigator firm. Adam did not like Charlie and he broke up the marriage by having Hayley work at Enchantment, a makeup company, instead.
Brooke found some evidence that Tad may have shown up in the Napa Valley, using the name of Ted Orsini. She traveled there to find out if her suspicions were true. In fact, Tad, in his amnesia, had wandered onto the Orsini Vineyards estate, where widowed winemaker Nola Orsini (Barbara Rush) had taken one look at him and assumed that he was her long-lost son, Ted. Tad/Ted was running Orsini Vineyards. Unselfishlessly, Brooke was determined to return Tad to Pine Valley for Dixie's sake, but she was also interested in his finding out about their son, Jamie. At the time, however, Dixie was married to Brian Bodine, and felt it wrong to end her marriage to him, even though Tad had returned. Tad married Brooke to make a home for the two of them and their son, but his love for Dixie never wavered. Suddenly, the real Ted Orsini came to town, wanting vengeance on Tad's having taken over his life. He began a relationship with Dixie, eventually luring her into the woods in northern Canada, where he hoped to kill Tad and to rape Dixie. Tad chased the pair into the woods, rescued Dixie and allowed Ted to leave unharmed because of Tad's love for Ted's mother Nola. Dixie and Tad reconciled, and they were remarried.
Young would-be writer Del Henry (Winsor Harmon) came to town, and met and fell in love with Kendall. It turned out, however, that he had an ulterior motive for coming to town. He was really Dixie's half-brother, and he needed a kidney, and was looking for a blood relative to help him out. It was revealed that he was also an old love of Maria's, and his appearance in town threatened Edmund and Maria's marriage. Eventually, despite Tad's misgivings, Dixie donated Del a kidney, and he and Kendall left town.
Dixie returned to Pine Valley, and, after trying to convince herself that she was no longer in love with Tad, gave in to her feelings. Unfortunately, she discovered she had kidney problems, and because she had donated a kidney to her half-brother Del Henry, she was in serious condition. She decided that she couldn't be a burden on Tad, so she decided to tell him that she didn't love him. Doctor David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry) came to town and took a position at Pine Valley Hospital. He fell in love with Dixie, and did all he could to keep her apart from Tad. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
OR:
Dixie Cooney and her brother, Will, left their hometown of Pigeon Hollow, West Virginia, and came to Pine Valley in search of their uncle, Pete Cooney (known in Pine Valley as the formidable Palmer Cortlandt). Dixie began working for Palmer as his maid, but after having worked there a few weeks, Palmer found out that she was his niece and would not allow her to be his maid any longer.
Next, Dixie took a job as Laura Cudahy's nanny and moved in with Brooke and Adam Chandler. Adam seduced Dixie, in the hopes of getting her pregnant with a son who could be his heir (he believed wife Brooke was infertile). He succeeded, and plotted to steal the baby from Dixie and raise it with Brooke. Meanwhile, Dixie was befriended by Tad Martin (who had been hired by Brooke to learn the identity of the father of Dixie's baby). When Brooke learned Adam had fathered Dixie's son, she divorced him, allowing Adam to marry Dixie. Once married, Adam made Dixie think she had gone crazy and had her committed to Laurel Hill mental institute, all in hopes of gaining sole custody of Adam, Jr. However, Tad Martin learned of Adam's schemes, rescued Dixie from Laurel Hill, and helped her regain custody of her son. Once divorced from Adam, Dixie was free to wed her true love, Tad.
Opal and Palmer (Tad's mother and Dixie's uncle, respectively), however, were not content to let the lovebirds live a happy life, and set about breaking them up. Palmer paid a woman to say she had slept with Tad; when Dixie heard this, she separated from him. Reeling from the loss of Dixie, Tad fell into bed with his old friend Brooke. When Dixie learned of his tryst with Brooke, she divorced him. Tad and Dixie reunited, however, after Tad rescued Dixie from nutcase Billy Clyde Tuggle, who wanted Dixie as his bride, and had kidnapped her when she turned him down. Plans were made for their second wedding, but on the day of the wedding, Tad and Billy Clyde got into a fight (Billy Clyde had a bomb), and they both tumbled off a bridge and into the raging river after the bomb exploded. Only Billy Clyde's body was ever found. Dixie was devastated, her heart broken. Things didn't get any easier for her when she learned that Brooke was pregnant with Tad's child.
Dixie then turned to a "former friend" of Tad's, Craig Lawson. Dixie and Craig eloped and were married for a short period of time. They divorced after she found out that Craig was a fortune hunter and was also having an affair with his former flame Gloria Marsh. Dixie then met Brian Bodine. They had an interesting relationship, being that he was a teenager, and she eventually married him. That marriage did not last long due to the unexpected return of her one and only love, Tad Martin. Ted Orsini, Tad's look alike evil twin, came to Pine Valley with hopes of causing trouble---and getting rid of Tad so that he could have Dixie all to himself. Dixie found him to be very sensitive and became friends with him. Ted took Tad on a "hunting trip" to the Canadian wilderness in order to kill him. That came to an end when Dixie stumbled upon a helpless Tad in a river and saved him.
Upon returning to Pine Valley, Tad married the mother of his child, Brooke English. Dixie needed to occupy her time and took some college courses at Pine Valley University, where she became fast friends with Jason Sheffield. Jason became obsessed with becoming Dixie's lover, a romance that was never in the cards. Tad divorced Brooke, which left him open to Dixie. Tad asked Dixie to marry him, again. Tad started a job at the local TV station. The marriage started to get rocky when Dixie found out that Tad's earlier-in-life love, Liza Colby, was his boss. All was well until 1996, when old flame Liza Colby returned to Pine Valley. While Tad and Dixie's marriage was going through a particularly rough spot, Tad slept with Liza. When Dixie found out about their one night stand, she divorced Tad, left Pine Valley (with son Junior), and moved back to Pigeon Hollow. Through phone calls every now and then, we learned that Dixie became a full-time school teacher and was, for a time, engaged to a man named Jonas.
In July 1998, Dixie was forced to return to Pine Valley when Adam got a temporary order for custody of Adam Junior. Adam sought the order so that he could keep his son away from the danger that had been plaguing his family. Dixie agreed to let Adam Jr., return to town, but only of she was there to keep an eye on Adam.
Within hours of her return to Pine Valley, Dixie came face-to-face with her one true love, Tad, and it was obvious that the chemistry was still there. For months, Tad and Dixie danced around their feelings for each other, but when they chased Palmer to New York City, their emotions got the best of them, and they kissed. During their time in New York City, Tad and Dixie confronted their past, and decided to move on with their lives. They decided that if they were ready to re-commit to each other, they would meet on the roof of the Statler building in 24 hours, a la "An Affair to Remember." Unfortunately, while on her way to meet Tad, Dixie's kidney failed, and she was too sick to meet him. Hovering near death, Dixie called out for Tad, but her pleas fell on deaf ears, as Palmer was the one at her bedside. Dixie's kidneys got better, but she developed a heart condition and didn't want to worry Tad, so she decided to keep her illness a secret (Tad, meanwhile, continued to believe that she had stood him up and did not love him). After months of keeping secrets, Tad finally learned of Dixie's illness, and whisked her away to New York City. Once there, he declared his undying love for her, and proposed. Dixie accepted, of course, and they started enjoying the pleasure of each other's company while making plans for a wedding.
Dixie had been told she could never conceive another child due to her serious past illnesses and the fact that she had only one kidney, which she had donated to her brother Del. Accidentally, she became pregnant with Tad's child. Dixie, overwhelmed with joy, wanted to keep the baby despite doctors' and her own physical warnings. Unfortunately, Dixie and Tad lost their little girl, who they named Bess Martin after Dixie's mother.
Dixie became tired of a humdrum life. Tad had taken a new job at Chandler Enterprises after Liza staged a hostile takeover and the kids had returned to school and no longer needed her constant attention. At David's urging, Dixie took a position as an administrative assistant in The Andrassy Foundation. The two found themselves working late on many occasions --- and on one of those occasions David kissed Dixie… and Dixie kissed him back. Their explosive relationship continued as Dixie blasted David for giving Dimitri medical attention to treat a supposedly incurable disease and for not telling Dimitri's family that he was still alive. David argued that he had to honor his patient's request and Dimitri did not want anyone to know that he was still alive. Eventually, Dixie had enough of the secrets and sent Alexandra Marick to the hunting lodge with a dose of Dimitri's medication and Dimitri's secret was revealed.
In late 2000, Dixie quit her job at the Andrassy Foundation because of growing tension with David and David's continued troublemaking with the rest of the Martin clan.
Dixie and Tad divorced again after Tad brought psycho Leslie Coulson back to town because he wanted to use the information that Leslie had on David to get him out of their lives. Needless to say, it didn't work. Dixie couldn't forgive Tad for bringing Leslie back to town and their marriage ended.
In January 2002, Dixie quietly flew to the Caribbean and got a "quickie divorce" from Tad. Tad learned of what she'd done and demanded that he be allowed to go back to the islands with her and finalize the divorce properly. While there, Dixie nearly died from a genetic heart condition. David Hayward was flown to the island in the middle of a severe storm and helped heal Dixie using experimental therapy that he'd developed. Dixie and Tad returned to Pine Valley and though they were getting along quite well, Dixie was keeping a secret from Tad: she was pregnant. Rather than ending the pregnancy to spare her own life, Dixie arranged to stay at a clinic in Switzerland where she could have her baby under close guidance. Dixie's disappearance from Pine Valley caused Tad and JR a great deal of concern. While Dixie kept in contact with JR and even David Hayward, she shunned Tad completely. Tad made it his mission to find Dixie, but his searched were unsuccessful.
Dixie broke her silence after the successful completion of her third trimester. Dixie sent a letter to Tad to finally tell him that she was pregnant and carrying his daughter. A jubilant Tad made plans to reunite with Dixie, who made it clear that she wanted to return home to be with Tad. As Tad boarded a plan bound for Zurich, Opal received a call that would change everyone's lives forever: Dixie had been killed in an automobile accident. The severity of the accident -- her car had gone out of control and over a cliff -- left no trace of Dixie's body.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
AND: DEL HENRY (HUNKLE)
Del Henry arrived in Pine Valley in early 1994. Neurosurgeon Maria Santos Grey was convinced he had arrived to cause trouble for her recent marriage. She and Del had been lovers 8 years earlier, when they were attending college in Texas. He'd deserted her when she'd brought up marriage, never realizing she was pregnant with (and would soon miscarry) his child. Although Del still carried a torch for his old love, his main priority was Dixie Martin. He befriended her and eventually let her know that he was not only her half-brother, but he was dying of degenerative kidney disease and needed a transplant. Against her husband's wishes, she underwent the transplant, and Del's health returned to him. But his medical bills were costly, causing him to team up with town pariah Kendall Hart to write a tell-all book about her mother, Erica Kane. The book never panned out, but she moved in with him and he tried to help her curb her darker impulses. They became lovers, and in summer 1995 left town together to go live near her adoptive mother in Florida. When Kendall returned to Pine Valley 7 years later, her only mention of Del was that they had been much too different to sustain a relationship.

Thanks so much for the history, I had forgotten so much of it. I'm loving the new "Del" and I think he is going to be great! I didn't remember Julia and Kendall crossing paths in the past before and I didn't like the way she put Kendal down so much. I know she used to be a really bad girl, but she has grown on me and I love watching her act! Those sceens she would do with Biana would just make me cry.

Me too I really hate the Jacks/ Coutney, Nick thing. I never did like Coutney anyway but could live with her with Jacks, but when she and Nick got together it really ticked me off. I was happy with Lucky telling her off and calling her all those names. #mg6#
